1914-1993
The poem was written in Polish. The following translation was done by A. Monika Bernardyn:
At the intersection of the world's roads
Where each person’s path forks out in two
Good Lord has put His Cross
For those lost that don’t know which path to go through
And when I see it in the fog
Or in the middle of dark night
With His shoulder He holds me up
And helps me to hang on tight
When Death’s grip takes me over
God will place in my hand a key
That when Resurrection’s bright day comes
I’ll open the door and be free…
